RoboForm is the only major password manager with a built-in browser, and we take that seriously. It is not a side feature, it is where many of our users spend their time on mobile, and we want it to offer the best browsing experience anywhere.

With the latest releases of RoboForm for iOS and Android, the built-in browser picks up three upgrades designed to make everyday browsing calmer, cleaner, and more private. Best of all, every feature is available on both platforms.

1. Built-in Ad Blocker

The browser now ships with a lightweight ad blocker. Before a page even finishes loading, blocked ad and tracker requests are filtered out, so they never reach your screen in the first place. The result is faster pages, less clutter, and fewer trackers, with no extensions to install or configure.

You can turn it on from Settings -> Web Browser on iOS, or Settings -> Browser on Android. Or tap the Page Menu while you are on a site to toggle it for the moment. On Android, you can also keep a per-site exception list for the handful of pages that do not behave well with ad blocking enabled.

2. Reader Mode and Listen to Page

Long articles, busy layouts, endless sidebars: Reader Mode strips a page down to just the text so you can actually focus on what you came to read. Open any page in the RoboForm browser, tap the Page Menu in the upper left, and choose Reader Mode.

Once Reader Mode is on, tap the blue Reader Mode icon again and choose Listen to page. RoboForm will read the article aloud, which is a nice option when you are cooking, commuting, or just want to give your eyes a break.

3. Private Mode

Sometimes you do not want a session sticking around. Private Mode in the RoboForm browser skips saving cookies and history for the tab you are on, so the browsing you do there does not follow you afterward.

On iOS, tap the square icon in the lower right, then switch to the Private tab. On Android, open the Page Menu in the upper left of the browser and flip Private Mode on.
