We’re excited to announce that as of iOS 26.2, RoboForm users can now AutoSave credentials and generate strong passwords directly within Safari and iOS apps—no workarounds required.

This means when you create a new account on any website in Safari or within an iOS app, RoboForm will now prompt you to generate a secure password and automatically save your new credentials, just like you’ve always been able to do in the RoboForm in-app browser.

These latest additions reinforce RoboForm’s mission of making password management seamless across all platforms and finally make using a third-party password manager on iOS truly effortless. RoboForm has long supported a built-in password generator and autosave in its iOS in-app browser, and with these new, highly welcome enhancements, the same experience is now available in all browsers and installed apps—delivering truly seamless password management with a unified user experience.

Thank You, Apple

Long-time RoboForm users know this has been one of our most requested features. Earlier this year, we published an open letter to Apple urging them to open up iOS-level password generation and AutoSave functionality to third-party password managers. We’re grateful that Apple listened, and we commend them for taking this step toward a more open and user-friendly password management ecosystem on iOS.

How It Works

Getting started is simple:

  1. Navigate to any account creation page in Safari or an iOS app
  2. Tap the password field—you’ll be prompted to fill a generated password with RoboForm
  3. Complete your sign-up, and RoboForm’s ‘Save Password’ dialog will appear
  4. Tap Save, then ‘Create New Login’, and you’re done
