5/13/2025 Update: Try our free Have I Been Hacked data breach checker tool to instantly scan your email address for security compromises.

We’re excited to announce the launch of our new Data Breach Monitoring feature. This new addition to RoboForm gives you greater visibility into potential security risks.

What is Data Breach Monitoring?

Data Breach Monitoring scans for breaches containing your email addresses and personal information using the Have I Been Pwned (HIBP) database. When you add an email address to monitor, we check if it appears in data breaches and alert you immediately.

For each breach, you’ll receive information about what types of data were compromised and recommended actions to take. Neither RoboForm nor HIBP stores the actual stolen passwords or personal data, ensuring your privacy remains protected.

How Data Breach Monitoring Keeps You Informed

Data breaches can expose various types of personal information, which we categorize as:

  • Critical: Breaches that include passwords, credit card numbers, bank accounts, PIN codes, and Social Security numbers (requiring immediate action).
  • Non-critical: Breaches that exposed other personal information such as email addresses, names, phone numbers, IP addresses, usernames, or physical addresses.

If your information is detected in a breach, RoboForm alerts you so you can take protective action.

For critical cases where the breach included passwords, we recommend changing your password immediately using our password generator.

Availability

Currently, Premium users can monitor up to 5 email addresses through the RoboForm Security Center on desktop. Mobile support will be added in a future update.
